First off have some wonderful news, Ayngaran have recieved the many e-mails and have deicided to withdraw the massive logo. Victory is indeed ours. However they have already mastered 5-8 DVD titles with the logo and cannot withdraw them as they are due for release. They have e-mailed Prasad to cease the use of the logo.

Sunny, can you let us know which titles have been mastered with this logo on? I thought the titles would have already been released, but Pancha Thanthiram, one of their newer DVDs, has their logo on it :ffs:

Bhaskar, can you post a screenshot of an Ayngaran DVD with the logo on it? I hope it isn't a big honking Ganesha in the corner :)

The new logo's are a whole lot better then the big honking ganesh that they used on a few titles (Jeans, UNNIKRISHANAN hits 1, VIP). Panchitaram is the first where they have used a small name logo, which is transparent (like what super digital use to do).

The logo can be removed on some players as they have stored the logo on a subtitile track which is disabled from being optional. But with the right hacking chip it can easlily be turned off.

best thing to do is too e-mail them about this. They'd rather hear it from customers then a reviewer!

Ok, here are screenshots from Panchathanthiram as requested:

As you can see, it's not too bad, and as far as I know, it only appears on the songs, but still, I think we can do without it. Sunny, you say that they changed the logo - does this mean that they will be carrying on using the logo for new releases - if so, that's really gonna put me off getting any more of their DVDs.
