Mujhse Dosti Karoge will be shown at the Cinesphere Ontario Place from next weekend. Tickets are already on sale (through ticketmaster and possibly the box office aswell).

Anyone who has seen Devdas on the Imax will know how good a presentation could be - IF THE PRINT IS RIGHT!!

As it is a Yash Raj release, expect a high quality audio and video presentation with some great sound during the songs. And because the film was shot completely in London and other areas of Europe, expect some great cinematography which will look awesome on the big screen.

As for the film itself, well it might not be the best movie ever, but it'll be a good entertainer.

Now who's going?

_rb_ yeah they dont use the full screen. You can say its somewhere centered on the screen ( an analogous sitiuattion would be to view your 2.35:1 dvd on ur P&S TV screen). But if you are interested in other things like Desi love making and such stuff then u should watch the movie there :) You can see quite a few "frustrated folks" there :D

Oh well i dont mind passing side comments. In fact when I saw DEVDAS here, I was humming the songs ( as i went to watch the film only for the songs), and guess what, a friend of my friend complained that they werent able to enjoy the film as I was humming all the way :D

I miss movie watching in India, as side comments are an essential part of movies without which it becomes quite boring to watch a film...

I remember (when I was very young) we went to watch SHAAN. There was a dialogue in which SHAKAAL says... " arrey tum logon ki aukaad hi kya hai, chiti ki tarah masal de sakta hoon tumhein... Aisa kaunsa kaam hai jo main nahi kar sakta ? "... and someone beside us made that comment " abey salley tu KANGI (comb) nahi kar sakta :D " ( as he was bald in the film) ... Now tell me can you get such comments here while watching the film ?

I second SKnath's opinion. It's the comments that usually make up most of the enjoyment from these films, especially in those Nonsense comedy films from David Dhawan and Govinda. Also anytime there are hot girls (ie Ajnabee) you'll get alot of whistles and stuff.

But most of the audience knows how to behave - ie in Yashraj or family type films, they won't make stupid (sexual) comments.

Also, most of these comments are made by the younger crowds, which are good for the laughs, but get annoying (and even offensive) after a while.

However if you want to experience a good movie in theatres, then Ontario Place is the best place to do it - it's the only place where the audience actually behaves (when compared to Albion and Woodside). Of course the mainstream theatres are much more civilized...

in Toronto, for Indian movies, Cinesphere is the best place to see in terms of theatre, audio and video quality. For other places, the best places would be (in order of quality):

1. the mainstream megaplexes (ie. AMC)
2. the art house theatres

and then the worst places to see:
3. the local indian theatres

one thing though - i still go to the indian theatres (if i don't have a choice to go to Ontario Place Cinesphere) because it kind of reminds me of being in India. The place is usually packed on Saturday and Tuesday (discount day) nights, and there's Indian music blasting on the speakers, and there's lots of people making stupid comments. These things may not necessarily be good viewing conditions (the audio quality is horrible), but it does make me feel like I was in India (although the quality has surely improved there since the mid-80's).

i agree according to some ppl who watched it they loved it :p

"hi friends
today i watched MDK, i was supposed to watch it on wednesday but the
film did
not reach my country((BAHRAIN)) but i finally saw it today, and what a
wonderful
film it was.
It has everything friendship, love, fun, family, sacrifice and even death.
The introduction of kareena was the best but do not worry hrithik and
rani's intro was special.
the acting of all of them was soooooo nice and believable. Hrithik's
performance was excellent, it was convincing and sooo romantic.
Rani's acting was perfect, she looked sweet and innocent. Now kareena,
she acted really well and i think that her performance was very good.
UDAY CHOPRA was the surprise of the movie he was soooooo good and he
played a very important role in the movie((WAit to watch))

The most important thing is that all the songs are there, nothing is
cut from the movie. The picturisation of the songs are soo nice, but
the best one
is the picturisation of "jaane dil mein" and the medley was
wonderful. All the songs are in the right place.

The cinema was soooooo full and arabic people were more than
indians. And i think that the film will run for soo long here.

i Want to say more but i do not want to reveal much. The film is
worth watching coz it teaches u what is friendship....
The chemistry between hrithik and kareena, hrithik and rani are soooo
good.. u believe that they are really friends in real life, Uday also
looked so nice with the three main characters.

U have to watch it to know what i mean... There is funny moments and
serious too...
I think that the film should be a HIT coz it deserve it, the
direction also was wonderful and also the cinematography...

I hope u all will watch it and that the film will be a HIT...
If anyone want to know more u can ask.....

i give the film 5 out of 5 *****
bye for now :))))) and happy friendship day((although it is soo late))
meme"
