Just joined this board and think it'll be a good one to post on.

The names Koolie (taken from fam0us 1983 movie Hint Hint).

I am not a very big fan of Bollywood or Indian Movies in General but I used to be a big Amitabh fan and am once again.

I used to watch all his movies when I was young, my favourites being Mahaan, Ram Balram, Nastik and AAAnthony.

As I got older I stopped watching them and started watching more Hollywood movies.

A few months ago, doing some tiding I found an old collection of Amitabh videos in me house and decided to watch one. I watched COOLIE and to my surprise actually really enjoyed it. The story is good as are the fights scences and Amitabhs acting. I noticed how films nowadays don't much up to any of Amtabhs films. And all of a sudden I am an Amitabh fan again

I then went and bought his DVD including Namak Halaal, Sholay, Ram Balram, Laawaris, Deewar, Naseeb, Don, Do Aur Do Paanch, AAAnthony, and Shakti.

I am really wanting Mahaan, Coolie and a better version of Naseeb.

Anyone know anything about this?

Yes! and No!!?
But I think he is a great actor, I am not a AB stuff collector only!
I always love to see him STEALING show from underneath the noses of fellow performers with him and come out as the WINNER and THE BEST!!

AB is good, but AB has nothing on Hrithik. :sneaky:

Anyway, welcome to the forums Koolie! Nice to see another die hard AB fan!!(There are a couple of us around!!)

As for your query, as far as I know, there are no decent DVDs of the film you mentioned around. The only real decent AB DVDs you should get are the ones done by DEi. The rest just aren't really worth mentioning.

There are screenshots of the Mahaan DVD somewhere on the forums (not too sure where though!!!).

I don't know of any better version of Naseeb, looks like we're just gonna have to pray for that one!!!

They have no special featureseither.

Just my opinion, AB WAS good, but it is now a new decade, a new century, and a new millennium. AB is an old man now, he can play someone's father or grandfather with ease, but its Hrithik's time now. Hrithik is much better now than AB is NOW...

there is an attrocious release of Mahaan available.. but if i was u stay away from it like the plague, it is awful and really does take the piss-ington jones!!

DEI has a few Amitabh DVDs on solo DEI label.

Also, there are quite a few Amitabh films on DEI DVDs from the DEI-EROS times. Get Amitabh songs DVD released by DEI-EROS and you can find name of all the Amitabh films that are available in acceptable quality DVDs.
