The WMs are especially annoying for those with larger screens as they are even bigger(!)
Other than the fact that watching a watermark such as that of Shemaroo, MoserBaer etc. on a 120" screen is beyond annoying, it is principally wrong for any company to do so. These companies have absolutely no moral, or legal (debatable) right to do this. Even a film maker of the stature of Anurag Kashyap has spoken out against this practice and in fact has stated that he will include a clause in his contract for all his future films to prevent this from happening.

Extremely stupid to boycott a DVD Company due to a logo appearing while watching a film.
I won't do it...and apparently the majority so far have said the same.
Obviously the majority has no problem with this or atleast they suffer silently, otherwise this practice would have stopped as soon as it started. The fact is that this is nothing but blatant advertising on a product that we have paid for. Have you ever considered a scenario, where if other companies involved with bringing the movie to your screen, decided to add their logo? Would it bother you then? Where would you draw the line? The fact is, that this practice is a totally self serving excercise by companies with bloated egos. It's not like their product is even good enough to be proud off. Might I also add, that superimposing their logo, actually serves no practical purpose for the companies, other than to annoy their customers and earn their ill-will. What is to stop the producers of a movie insisting that their logo should also be superimposed on DVDs/BDs of their titles? Or for that matter, what if the BD player manufacturer started adding their logo too and ofcourse, then why should the TV manufacturer be left behind? How many logos would you consider too many?
Believe you me, with Indians all this is very much possible. Let me appraise you of the actual situation here in India related to DTH services. While watching a cricket match telecast on a DTH platform such as 'Dish TV', one has to put up with THREE and at times even FOUR different logos.
1. The BCCI logo.
2. NEO-Sports logo. (Or any other company that is providing the coverage).
3. 'DISH TV' logo. (They add the logo via the set-top box).
4. DD logo. (Doordarshan - The national tv channel). This is in case you watch the match on DD, via a 'DISH TV' set-top box.
Now all we need is the TV manufacturer to decide that they should also have their logo on the screen.
