Udit hasn't sang a good soundtrack since Qaymat Se Qaymat Tak. That SOB's songs sound alike. He is like Shah Ru Khan. An SOB. Govida is the best dancer ever.

Okay..why is Udit Naryan not that great of a singer? I think he's one of the best male lead singer of this day and age. And to say that he hasn't sang a good song since QSQT is a foolish statement. He has sang many, many great songs in the past 10 years or so. And why is SRK an SOB? ANd if you think Govinda's repetitive dance steps are the best ever, well than, I think there's something terribly wrong with you

I listen to all the new soundtracks HritikPoser84. I dont know why Udit is on most of them. He sings the same way for each one. You punks can't appreciate a good song. Udit has polluted your minds with the sewage that pours out of his mouth. And why in hell did someone post a picture of Udit. He is so ugly he can pose for death threats. Hritik is not the king of Bollywood. Rajesh Khanna is. Only he can get away with something like marrying a 15 year old girl. Gadar was the worst movie ever. It was a hit because all the Punjabs went to see it over and over because they know they can only beat Pakiz in the movies.

Not just the Punjus, the Marus, Gujjus, Marathas, Tamil, Sindhis.. all the Indians.. and thats all we can can care for.. beating all Anti-Indians.. and not just Pakiz. And don't get that Indo-Pak crap in here again

And about Udit, swallow the pill dude

HE IS THE BEST of whatever choice is available. Heard 'O Re Choree' from Lagaan ?

You are right about one thing, Hrithik isnt the King of Bollywood, not yet at least, he still has to prove himself, and this year, with a bunch of solo movies, might be the year. Rajesh Khanna king of bollywood??? Man, I really believe that you havent been around for the past 10 years.....your stuck in the past. The year is 2002. His time has past and there is a new generation of stars now FullaRass, I suggest you go rent some NEWER movies and some more recent movies, starting from the 90's, since its pretty obvious you missed that decade. Marrying a 15 year old girl is cool? You have some other issues man.....

The world became poor when Mukesh Passed away, Kangaal when Rafi passed away, Maha Kangaal when Kishore Kumar Passed away and Completely bereft of melody when RD Burman passed away.

I wonder how the world with sound with LATA MANGeSHKAR gone ( which though bad to hear is someday gonna happen )...

Please let Lata Mangeshkar retire! Please! Her voice was so beautiful in its prime, it gives me shivers when I hear her earlier work. But her voice has thinned so drastically, it's now painfully nasal -- the entire Dil to Pagal Hai soundtrack is a serious danger to one's speakers thanks to her I-just-inhaled-a-tank-of-helium delivery.

On the subject of female singers, Alka Yagnik can be very good when the music exploits the sad quality of her voice ("Mehndi Hai Rachnewali," for example -- the anti-wedding wedding song). But often she's wasted in the tracks she's given to sing. Same with Kavita Krishnamurthy Subramaniam; I saw her live in the AR Rahman concert last year and sometimes, when she goes very high, it...hurts.

I tend to love Jaspinder Narula, but I wonder if that's because she tends to sing fast-paced drum-based songs...

Simran I dont know if you drink Scotch !....But if you did you will realize that a 50 year old aged SCOTCH WISKEY tastes just awesome, giving a person such a kick, that he/she can become TIPSY with a few pegs. Can they experience a similar fate with a few pegs of new whiskey ?

Lata is also similar. She sings just one song and that song becomes a chartbuster....Its her talent that she sings for heorines who are fit enuff to be her grand-daughters....

Found this topic, I gotta agree, Udit Narayan is one great singer. I cant stop playing the song: "Tune Zindagi Mein" from the movie Humraaz. Udit is top notch like always, and makes the song sound even better to go with the background beat. Also like the song, "Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai" from the movie of the same name, Udit is awesome in that song also, come to think of it, is there any song that he sings bad in!?? All his songs are on top of the charts (RadioSargam Singles Chart).

I will again strike a dissenting note here.
Udit is good and i stress the word, just good... but if u ask me the real king of playback singing these days (if he is taken at face value should be )

Maqsood Ali better know as Lucky Ali. His voice is so much different than his peers ( with the nasal KS - a neo KK clone, mimic Sudesh Bhonsle and Copycat Sonu Nigam)...

Lucky Ali has the voice which is smooth and exotic in short a Patiala Peg+a lovely woman with you :)

He may not be singing much but mark my words thats the hallmark of a true singer. He gives his best in spurts (which is good considering the quality of lyrics we are getting these days...)

I would have loved to listen to a private album of Lucky Ali with the lyrics penned by Majrooh Sahab (late).. but alas..that will remain a pipe dream only :(

The king is dead ( RAFI )
From all the princes we have none have the qualities as yet to claim the crown. In my estimation Udit is clearly the king in waiting!
