At last ... here's hoping it will be a good DVD ... with good subtitles.

Kino films have an impressive catalogue of movies ... so I'm hoping for good things for KK's release. :D

I'm not familiar with Kino outside of their silent films. Are they like Fox "PAL-to-NTSC" Lorber with sound films?

Kino is shaping up to be a nice company for "classic" foreign films in the US . just look at their current and future release. It includes the wong-kar-wai boxset , the fritz lang boxset, Krzysztof Kieslowski Collection , classic bunuel , German silent era films ( metropolis, Nosferatu etc ) , also some Travkovsky and loads of other stuff !

Though the quality/extras are not as great as Criterion DVD , i still think they are a nice company serving the niche market in US.

on a personal note i am let down that they selected KK, frankly its not their cup of tea. perhaps Iruvar would have been a better choice.
