ya but the oddest thing like all the other movies i said that came 2 the imax and i saw all of them but there were more english peole than indian for example 2day including me there were only 11-19 indians and everyone else was english

Okay this is good propaganda material then :D But I guess that has more to do with a NY Times review than anything else :)

And by Goras u mean... Desi Guys with Gori Chicks (girlfriends) or Gora Guys and Gori Chicks ?

Who cares abt Armaan ... That movie is a dud anyways :)

i came back from watching the movie at imax. the movie was good. they used 70mm print and when ever there used to be a scene with fire/bombs they made the room really hot. and when ever it was snowing or cold in the movie they made the room really cold the sound was dts this was the best expireance i ever had better than the imax versions of kkhh. taal, hddcs, knph, refugee, k3g, kaante, saathiya, and devdas they will be showing boot, andaaz, mpkdh, kmg, and l.o.c as far as i know of

Izzy, you are the lucky one who got to see this film on I-MAX screen.

I believe you about the audio and excellent projection.

It is hard to believe that in an audience of over 700, less than 20 were people of South Asian Origin. What went wrong or right. Was this screening advertized properly or may be it was targetted at non-Hindi speaking audience. Ad campaign definitely was successful as evident by Sold Out show.

It is wishful thinking that they had a 70mm print for screening. But I doubt it that they really got a 70mm print. May be, they did.

I really think temp control is far fetched, but technically possible. Does any one remember a few screenings, many yrs back, where they were releasing perfumes and smells as per situation.

so far all the movies i said went to the imax also ek rishtaa did and i saw all of them and the best expireance was with this movie and all of the hindi movies shown there had eng subs but the problem with indian peole (no affence) is that most of them go for the cheaper price. for example imax shows cost 12 cdn and if u go see this movie at a regular theater it is 7cdn so they dont care about the big screen good sound they just want it at a cheaper price
p.s. i am indian 2

One reason for a higher percentage of non Indian (read white) audience at IMAX theaters might be the fact that a lot of people go to see a film at an IMAX just for the novelty of watching something on an IMAX theater wherein the film itself is a secondary thing. This is just a theory, but it seems to be the only logical reason to explain why the audience in a Sunny Deol, Hindi film of not much repute or fame would be a over 90% non Hindi speaking White Canadian. After all the title of the film itself is misleading in the sense that it is an English title. A lot of people may have thought 'The Hero' is an english film.

Sanjay the last time I saw a film on IMAX i saw very few desis there... and that was a night show .... most ppl who were there were indulging in "petting and patting" ( :D )... jab andhera hota hai ... maybe they didnt come for the Evening show as there were just too many ppl !

Not to be too picky, but don't you mean 'Canadian or maybe White' and not 'English'.
